PML-N mulls over challenging NA-125 verdict

ISLAMABAD: Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif on Monday said that his party is mulling about challenging the election tribunal’s verdict on NA-125 Lahore in the Supreme Court (SC), ARY News reported.

In his exclusive word with ARY News, Khawaja Asif said the tribunal declared NA-125 election null and void on technical basis.

Even if the election is held again, it would be Khawaja Saad Rafique emerging victorious, he said while referring to party’s recent landslide victory in cantonment board elections.

“We are mulling about challenging the verdict in the Supreme Court,” Asif added. “Contesting the re-election or to challenge the verdict, we have both the options.”
