PML-Q announces complete support for PTI’s protest in Islamabad

LAHORE: Former Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi of Pakistan Muslim League–Quaid (PML-Q) on Friday announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) planned protest in Islamabad.

Saying that everyone must support Imran Khan in his sole fight against the menace of corruption in the country, Elahi said that Pakistanis should be unite under the leadership of Khan since he was trying to save the country from corrupt elements.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will stage a protest sit-in in the federal capital on November 2 after a party core committee meeting reached a consensus to change the date of its protest which was earlier planned for October 30.

Imran Khan has warned the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the centre of stern consequences if the government tried to stop PTI’s peaceful protest by any means and added it would be a peaceful protest.

Meanwhile, the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has called in the police force from Rawalpindi to help in maintaining law and order situation during the Islamabad siege.

The minister also met the Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Tariq Masood Yasin on Thursday in a bid to finalise security plan for the capital city.
