According to details, ARY News broadcasted a footage showing the Law Minister Punjab, Rana Mashood speaking ill about his own leadership and receiving a cheque from Asim Malik, in the name of organizing a rally.

The footage had left the entire PMLN in a shock and Rana Mashood had to face strong criticism by the party members, not to talk of the other circles and common people.

He was also not called for a meeting of the provincial cabinet, which was held earlier today. The meeting expressed grave concerns over the footage aired on ARY News a couple of days ago.

Mashood strongly protested for not being called at the cabinet meeting, after which the PMLN committee formed to investigate the matter, has kicked off efforts to save the provincial minister from the consequences.

The committee has laid an excuse that the transcript displayed on the screen does not match with the audio and the footage was tampered in order to trap the minister.

Sources told that the committee will soon present its report to the Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif.
