TOP NEWS

Addressing a press conference after meeting Asif Ali Zardari, Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi stayed firm on his demands of resignation of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif, and the registration of a case against them over the killing of 14 people in Model Town on June 17.

He said a national government should immediately be formed, under which new elections should be held.

Ilahi told he also conveyed the message of Dr Tahir ul Qadri to the PPP patron in-chief, and told him that the current government lacks appropriate attitude towards others. He slammed Shahbaz Sharif over his past statements about Asif Ali Zardari and questioned how he faced the PPP chief today.

The PMLQ leader inquired what Sharifs have given to the people other than killing and arresting the innocents, while who will negotiate with them under such circumstances.

Pervez Ilahi said, “We asked Asif Ali Zardari to convince the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to step down for the sake of democracy”.

He said that the Sharif brothers always cry for democracy, now they should also make sacrifices for it.
