Police and Rangers arrest 2 target killers from Karachi

KARACHI: Police and Rangers personnel carried out targeted raids in different parts of the city, arresting 10 suspects. 2 out of the arrested suspects were alleged target killers, ARY News reported.

According to sources, police arrested ten suspects from the different parts of Karachi and seized weapons from them. Law enforcement personnel carried out a raid at Liaquatabad’s Azam Nagar area based on intelligence reports and arrested two alleged target killers. Sources also revealed that the arrested suspects were linked to a political party and were involved in various killings that took place in the city. Suspects were taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

On the other hand, Rangers also raided a hotel in Defence’s Khayaban-e-Muslim area and took into custody one person. The suspect was taken to an undisclosed location for further questioning.

Police in Azizabad also arrested two suspects who were involved in street crimes. After the suspects were taken into custody, a stolen motorcycle as well as weapons were also recovered from them. According to SSP Central Muqaddas Haider, these individuals were involved in street crimes throughout the city. The four suspects reportedly belong to Lyari gang-war’s Sheraz Comrade group. The arrested suspects have been linked to activities of murder, extortion and kidnapping for ransom. They were also taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

In Lyari’s Gul Muhammad Lane area, Rangers arrested four suspects and recovered weapons as well as drugs from them.
