According to details, police raided numerous locations in Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujranwala arresting 25 suspected terrorists for their alleged involvement in the suicide attack at Pakistan-India border crossing at Wagah.
Intelligence agencies (IAs) hinted that the deadly attack which claimed 60 lives on Sunday was outlined in Karachi and involved terrorists from the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jundullah.
Out of the total 25 suspects, 18 were arrested during an operation by the police in Faisalabad and Chinniot.
The Home Secretary Punjab told that the suicide attacker had 15-20 kilograms of explosives strapped with him, which also included ball bearings.
Eye-witnesses of the incident told that the attacker was seen more than twice at the ceremony, who seemed to be 18 to 23 years of age.
Moreover, investigation with the arrested suspects is underway, while their mobile phone data is also being retrieved, in order to ascertain their links with one of the deadliest attacks in the history of Pakistan.
