Police arrest four ‘terrorists’, seize 100 kg explosives

SHIKARPUR: Police on Saturday apprehended four ‘terrorists’ from Shikarpur and seized nearly 100 kg of explosives and arms from them, ARY News reported.

Holding a presser at his office, SSP Shikarpur Masood Bangash said that four terrorists namely Abdul Rehman, Siraj Birohi, Siraj Langa and Abdul Ghani Birohi were arrested in a raid conducted today.

The suspects were said to be involved in a blast at an imambargah and a suicide attack on former MNA Dr Ibrahim Jatoi.

“Police had earlier nabbed Akram Muavia, a suspect arrested in connection with the murder of Allama Shafqat Mutahiri, who then named another man Abdul Aziz during interrogation,” he told.

“Following his arrest, Aziz identified the above mentioned four terrorists.”

Bangash said the arrested suspects have also disclosed the names of their facilitators who are hiding somewhere in Balochistan, adding police are also preparing for an action against them.
