Police arrest girl in Peshawar for demanding extortion
According to reports, a girl named Laila, a student of first year, was arrested two days back from Badhabir area of Peshawar after a citizen Zahir Gul lodged a complaint in the Faqirabad Police Station for receiving threatening extortion calls .
The girl had demanded extortion money of Rs. one million from the complainant and threatened of dire consequences if the money not paid to her.
During investigation, Laila told the police that she had some issue with complainant Zahir Gul over a cheque, sources said.
” I made the call for fun and had not collected any money from him”, Laila informed police.
She had also demanded millions of rupees extortion money from other traders in the past, sources said.
