Police stated that the robber named Lal Mohammad alias Laloo, who had reached the railway crossing area for robber purposes, opened fire at them when they came to arrest him.
Laloo was killed in the retaliatory fire carried out by the law enforcement agencies.
Hand grenades and ammunition were also recovered from the robber.
According to SSP Sajid Khokhar, Sindh Government had announced Rs. 1 million head bounty for the slain robber.
