According to details, the target killer identified as Ubaid-ur-Rehman was arrested a day before and was being brought to identify two of his accomplices in the crime.
Police sources claim that the prisoner killed while trying to escape by snatching a gun from one of the escorting policemen in Altaf Nagar area of Orangi Town.
Ubaid-ur-Rehman was involved in killing 22 people, claimed police.
On the other hand, a suspected militant was killed in a joint operation by Police and Rangers in Sohrab Goth area of the city as the militants opened fire on law enforcement personnel.
Rangers spokesperson informed media that the dead militant was identified as Aziz Afghani and was involved in Kidnapping for ransom and other crimes.
