Two cops die in Quetta blast

The blast initially wounded nine people, including four cops, who were immediately taken to a local hospital for medical attention, but two of the cops succumbed to their injuries upon reaching there.

Home Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti said the bomb was blown up through a remote-controlled device.

“The bomb which contained nearly three kilogram of explosives blew up while a police mobile was passing by,” he said.

Police said explosives were planted roadside with police van as the target.

The injured policemen were later shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in view of security threats.
