Police has said that the polio worker identified as Mohammad Sarfaraz was shot dead by unknown terrorist as he was about to take part in the polio immunization drive.
Sarfaraz was killed in the shooting incident whereas another worker Sidra received minor injuries. The deceased received seven bullets.
The polio teams have boycotted the anti-polio drive in the city after the killing incident.
He was a school teacher by profession. He is survived by two sons and two daughters.
