Political jirga working on moral grounds, says Malik

ISLAMABAD: Senator of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rehman Malik has said that the political jirga had no official mandate and is working on moral basis, ARY News reports.

Rehman Malik, in an exclusive chat with ARY News, said that the jirga is working on moral grounds to end the political standoff between the government and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He also said that the recommendations of the jirga were heard by the two parties alongwith the government.

The senator added that the jirga will continue to function in the future as well.
