Political parties vow complete support to corridor project

ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Conference, presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, today agreed to extend cooperation to the government on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, ARY News reported.

Parliamentary leaders of all political parties have extended complete support and practical cooperation to the government on the project.

In his remarks, the PM said that a parliamentary committee consisting of representation from all the political parties has been constituted for the oversight of the project.

“In the first phase the western alignment of the project will be completed,” he added.

Mr. Sharif thanked leaders of all the political parties for extending complete support and practical cooperation for the completion of the corridor project.

The Prime Minister said a working group has also been set up to address the grievances of the provinces. He said that the resources will be allocated for the project in the next fiscal year.

Earlier, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal briefed the parliamentary leaders about the different routes of Pakistan China economic corridor project
