According to details, Saad Rafique said that the government faced all the major challenges including terrorism, during last 17 months; however the politics of sit-ins caused irreparable loss to the country.
He told that three different heads of the states including the Chinese President, cancelled their visits to Pakistan because of the protest sit-ins.
Rafique said due to these demonstrations the country was ripped of billions of dollars worth of investment. He added that for the country to make progress, everyone will have to work together.
The minister said if the way of democracy was obstructed, then it will have a negative impact on the state and the people.
Speaking about border tensions persisting between Pakistan and India, Saad Rafique said that peace in the region is much needed by India, than Pakistan and for this it will have to make some sincere and serious efforts.
