The suicide bomber tried to attack Imambargah Qasr-e-Sakeena on Wednesday evening.
The body of the bomber, who was said to be of 25 to 26 years age, was transferred to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The doctors conducted postmortem of the body.
Shahzad Town police station has registered the FIR of the attack on the complaint of Zain-ul-Abideen, the custodian of the imambargah. The case has been registered under the clauses of terrorism, murder, attempt to murder and other charges.
Security has been heightened in the city after the attack on Imambargah Qasr-e-Sakeena.
Police has conducted search operations in Ghouri Town, Iqbal Town and other areas of the city and arrested 15 suspects with arms.
