PPP backs judicial commission to probe rigging: Malik

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Senator Rehman Malik met Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Tareen to discuss Senate elections and formation of judicial commission to look into alleged rigging in 2013 general elections, ARY News reported.

Malik in his meeting with Tareen at his residence here said that the PPP backs the reservations of PTI about irregularities in general elections. He said the PPP also supports the formation of the judicial commission to inquire into the alleged rigging.

The two leaders also exchanged views over the upcoming Senate elections in detail.

They also discussed cooperation between the two parties in Senate elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Rehman Malik and Jahangir Tareen also talked over the security situation of the country.
