PPP concerned over military courts

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party is not in favor of constitutional amendment for the sake of military courts, while hiding the draft of the proposed amendment is creating suspicions about it, said PPP senator Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday, ARY News reported.

Peoples Party eventually expressed its concerns over the formation of military courts in the country.

Talking to media after today’s session of the Senate, Aitzaz Ahsan declared the new constitutional amendment as controversial, prior to its implementation.

He said, “Despite government promises, the fact that the new draft is not being made public is raising several questions”.

The PPP senator said that for executing the mandate of the APC, there is no need to amend the constitution.
