KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Friday said Operation Radd-ul-Nisar should also be launched along Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad to remove real terrorists from the face of Pakistan, ARY News reported.

“Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has a soft corner for banned outfits as he holds meetings with their chiefs,” he said talking to media in Karachi.

Speaking about the recently launched Army operation, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, he said crackdown should be carried out against terrorists by devising joint policies.

He said Operation Radd-ul-Nisar should also be launched with the other operation to bring peace in the country.

Pakistan Army on Wednesday launched a new counter-terror operation named ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’ (رَدُّالفَسَاد) across the country.

The operation aims at indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders.

On decision of Panamagate case, the PPP leader said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was still out of country regardless of the fact that the Supreme Court has reserved verdict on the Panama Leaks case filed against him (and his family members). Had he not been abroad, the decision would have been announced, he said.

Citing example of Muhammad Khan Junejo, he said the courts have in the past removed a prime minister from his seat despite he was abroad. Chandio said the PPP wanted the courts to treat Nawaz Sharif the same way they had treated PPP, however, he said, announcement of court ruling against a PM in his absence was not a good practice.

This should be noted that a five-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday reserved its verdict after completion of the high profile Panamagate Case hearing against the family members of Nawaz Sharif.
