PPP against dictatorship, not army: Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI: Provincial Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon said on Thursday that PPP is not against army but dictatorship, ARY News reported.

The PPP leader after inaugurating Hosh Muhammad Sheedi Park told media that supporting the recommendation of establishment of military courts was a difficult decision for PPP but the party supported it for the sake of country.

Memon maintained that Sindh government is trying to fight with the ‘incompetence’ of past governments adding that Karachi’s 18 town administrators allowed encroachments on public land.

The Minister vowed to free all public land from usurpers of public property.

About the Karachi operation, he informed media that there around 12 thousand terrorists were arrested during Karachi Operation.

About Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary, Memon claimed that the the anniversary will be observed this year too with respect but Bilawal Bhutto will not become a part of it as doctors have advised him not to travel.

He, however claimed that party’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will attend the event.

Memon clarified that senior party leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim is not leaving PPP and all such rumours are baseless.
