SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah has said that Pakistan People’s Party Party (PPP) is not an off-shoot of any martial law regime, ARY News reported.

Shah was talking to media in Sukkur.

The PPP leader said, “Whosoever returns to Pakistan secretly is not a leader, but a jackal. A warning was given to Benazir Bhutto to not travel to Pakistan otherwise she will be assassinated,” Shah said.

He said that PPP never played the politics of power. He added, “I am a politician. I find it hateful to speak lies.”

“A political leader, during my meeting with NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, said that he will die if he spends an hour in prison,” Shah said.

He added that the country is in a state of crisis and the youth of the country have to step.

The PPP leader asked, “How can the products of martial law regimes serve the nation.”
