PPP, MQM devise 'winning formula' for Senate polls: sources

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have come up with a winning strategy for the upcoming Senate elections in the country citing sources, ARY News reports.

Sources have mentioned that the two parties will call meetings for seat adjustment shortly and core committees of the two parties are expected to be formed in the next 48 hours.

The core committees are expected to decide the seat adjustment for the elections of the upper house of the Parliament whereas the party leaders shall make the final decision.

Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan and PPP Senator Rehman Malik will act as mediators between the two parties, sources said.

It is further said that the two parties will secure 10 seats in the elections whereas sources claimed that a constituency will also be given to Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F).

Sources also mentioned that the co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari wants its party members to be elected in the Senate unopposed.
