PPP’s Babar shows FIR copy against Lal Masjid cleric in Senate

ISLAMABAD: The echoes over Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz’s ‘scot-free’ movements in Islamabad turned into a heated debate in Senate on Friday when PPP’s Farhatullah Babar flashed first information report (FIR) copy against the cleric in the House, ARY News reported.

Babar raised the issue in the Senate in reference to a few days old remarks of Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan stating that Maulana could not be arrested as there was no FIR registered against him. He went on to say that ‘if parliamentarians have the FIR copy, they must show it.”
