LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday said former president Asif Ali Zardari’s returning to Pakistan had been decided and its final date would be determined by the party, ARY News reported.
“A public gathering will be held to welcome Zardari in Rawalpindi, Lahore or Karachi,” he said while talking to media at residence of PPP leader Ashraf Bhatti in Lahore.
He said his focus was on democratic accountability of the ruling government, foreign policy of Pakistan, China Pakistan Economic Corridor project and eradication of terrorism.
To a query, he said he would not comment on chacha (uncle) Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan (‘s moves), because journalists trap him on that.
“We have bigger issues to discuss. I want to discuss more on our four demands from the government including democratic accountability,” he said.
Bilawal said National Action Plan had become N-league plan. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has failed to establish peace, he said.
He expressed hope that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would have decided upon name of new Army chief on merit.
The PPP chairman also said the political leadership should express solidarity with the people of Shia community who were being murdered.
