PPP to “destroy” PML-N in local govt elections: Bilawal

VEHARI, Sindh: PPP Patron-in-chief  Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has turned his guns on the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, saying his party would “destroy” N-League in the upcoming local government elections.

While addressing Farmers Convention in Vehari, Bilawal announced that the PPP would approach the Supreme Court against withholding tax. He termed the new levied tax as ‘cruel’.

He said he believed in resistance, not reconciliation.

He claimed that peasants flourished when his party was in rule. He lashed out at the sitting government for “destroying lives of peasants through oppressive policies.”

“PPP adopted the policy of reconciliation but didn’t get positive response. Mian Brothers have harmed democracy to bits,” bemoaned Bilawal.

He reiterated that the PPP would resolve problems of the poor.

“I will visit every district of the province to meet party workers and supporters,” he said.
