Piggy Chopps has taken off and it seems like there’s no stopping her for the time being. The former Miss World and Bollywood actress made history when she became the first South Asian to bag the People’s Choice Award. Priyanka nabbed the People’s Choice Award for Favourite Actress, for her lead role as Alex Parrish in the hit American TV series Quantico.
Priyanka was up against Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Marcia Gay Harden and Lea Michelle in the ’Favourite Actress in a New TV Series’ category. Her win was a big moment not only for her, but for Bollywood and the Indian nation as well, since it had certainly made an impact.
Other big winners from the award include Jim Parsons, Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber. Many people from the Bollywood film fraternity did congratulated Priyanka Chopra when she won the award.
