Probe of Allama Ali Akbar Kumaili’s killing begins

KARACHI: The initial investigation of the killing of Allama Ali Akbar Kumaili has been started by a special investigation team, ARY News reports on Monday.

Allama Ali Akbar Kumaili, son of renowned religious scholar Allama Abbas Kumaili, was shot dead by terrorists in Azizabad area of Karachi on Saturday evening.

The investigation report states that four assailants, on two motorcycles, fled from the technical school route after the attack.

It was further mentioned that an eye-witness of incident has helped prepare the sketches of the gunmen however the First Information Report (FIR) has not been filed yet.

The probe team led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) West found 12 bullet shells near the crime scene. They have been shifted to forensic laboratory for test.
