Propaganda against corridor projects baseless: Iqbal

The elements that are making China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) controversial are playing in the hands of Pakistan’s foes, he said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad today. Information Minister Pervez Rasheed was also present on the occasion.

The minister said Khyber Pakhtonkhwa and Balochistan will prosper in the wake of CNEC.

“All the propaganda against economic corridor projects is baseless,” underlined Iqbal while reacting to concerns raised by some parties on the project.

Iqbal said some forces were creating ambiguity and misunderstanding by uploading wrong maps of the corridor. All the projects would be completed within the stipulated time, he informed.

He said the Prime Minister has directed to complete 26 projects before the end of 2017.

The minister informed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had provided Rs 8 billion for Karachi Green Line Metro Bus project.
