The election commission sources have said that the representatives of the provinces have given dates to the commission in a meeting today.
The local councils elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh will be held in May 2015, November 2015 and March 2016 respectively, the sources said.
The election commission will file its reply to the Supreme Court on February 12 regarding schedules of the local council elections in three provinces.
The apex court January 8 had directed ECP and the provinces to come up with the dates for the polls in the next hearing.
The local bodies elections in sparsely populated and insurgency hit Balochistan province has been completed ahead of three other federating units of Pakistan.
According to election commission sources, the local bodies polls in Punjab can take place once the provincial government submitsthe data regarding delimitation of certain districts to the ECP.
Moreover, the government of Sindh has yet to amend the electoral laws for the polls as proposed by the ECP.
