RAWALPINDI: The government is mulling to take action against seasoned politician and chief of Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for his fiery and provocative speech in PTI’s public gathering in Nankana Sahib on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Rasheed had blasted government in his charged speech and subjected the prime minister and other government figures to intense criticism.

Sources told that the government was in consultations with the Ministry of Interior to take legal action against AML chief.

It is likely that the government would ask the Federal Investigation Agency  to provide asset details of Rasheed.

It was also being considered to register case against the politician for inciting people to violence.

In his emotional and fiery speech, Rashid appealed to the people of Nankana Sahib to reach Islamabad in large numbers on the last day of the month (November 30 rally of PTI) so that Nawaz Sharif could be thrown out of Islamabad”.
