Chairman of PSL Governing Council Najam Sethi, speaking at a press conference in Lahore, said that the cricketing league will take place from 4th to 24th February in Doha and it will be a blend of cricket and entertainment.
“There will be five franchises and 24 matches will be contested. The number of participating franchises will be increased in the coming editions”, Sethi said.
He also said that top foreign players from all test-playing nations except India have shown interest in taking part in the upcoming league while foreign coaches are being called for the tournament.
“The prize money of the first ever Pakistan Super League will be up to $1 million”, Sethi added.
