KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Mustafa Kamal on Sunday vowed that their party will work for the rights and serve as a voice of workers in the country.

Kamal, while addressing the party’s workers convention, said that the plight of the labourers and workers is reminiscent of the dire situation of the country.

He lamented that workers are forced to commit suicides and suffering from mental stress and depression, after being dejected by their conditions, while their rights and liberties are being usurped by the elite class.

“Its been years since we’ve been hearing that problem of the common man will be solved,” he said.

He called on the people not stick to old traditions but rather become better people, and work for the welfare of the country.

He also decried that the institutions of Karachi have been ruined by the political leadership and have resorted to infighting rather than serving the problems of the citizens.

He advised workers not to seek benefits but rather rationally differentiate between wrong and right.

PSP President Anees Qaimkhani, General Secretary Raza Haroon and other party leaders also addressed the convention. Qaimkhani announed that a workers convention will be held in Hyderabad soon.
