PTI, govt mull ‘ordinance’ as way out

TOP NEWS

According to sources, both the sides could go ahead with formation of judicial commission through an ordinance to settle the dispute.

On Monday, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Jahangir Tareen met in Islamabad.

Talking to media after the meeting, Tareen asked the government to bring flexibility in its stance while stressing upon the need to form an independent judicial commission to probe the rigging in May 2013 elections.

Standing alongside Dar, Tareen maintained that Ishaq Dar responded to his letter in length and the dialogue process shall continue in a larger national interest.

Ishaq Dar claimed that both parties have agreed on the promulgation of new ordinance for the formation of commission adding that the PTI and government have differences on just three points out of the five page long ordinance.
