PTI, govt teams meet again to end deadlock

TOP NEWS

PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said reports of PTI agreeing to five-and-a-half demand excluding that of the prime minister’s resignation were baseless.

He reiterated that his party also wanted to steer the nation out of the current crisis.

Earlier speaking at a residence of Jahangir Tareen, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said meaningful talks were held with the PTI and a new round of talks would begin on Monday (today).

PTI chief Imran Khan is adamant on seeking resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and vowed not to leave Islamabad until his demands were met. Similarly PAT chairman Dr. Tahirul Qadri is also hell-bent on resignation by the PML-N regime and reelections after necessary electoral reforms.
