PTI granted permission for rally in Lahore

According to the government, security threats were looming over public meeting of PTI in Lahore.

The district administration has written a letter to the capital city police officer Lahore, asking him to adopt strict security measures ahead of the rally.

PTI leaders Mian Iftikhar and Mian Aslam Iqbal had submitted the application, seeking permission for PTI’s rally at DCO office on Tuesday.

They had threatened to stage a rally in Jati Umra, if their permission for public meeting was not granted by the government. The venue of Minar-e-Pakistan ground has the capacity to accommodate around 4,00,000 people.
