PTI hints at resorting to protests if demands not met

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday said that a deadlock is still persisting with the government on three points of its agenda against alleged rigging of elections, ARY News reported.

In a release issued after the meeting of PTI core committee, it was said that Tehreek-i-Insaf has exhibited enough flexibility regarding talks with government and for this purpose all the protests were also called off by the party.

The release read, “Cooperation with the government on national issues does not mean that PTI will step back from its stance on electoral rigging”.

It was further stated that a ‘protest call’ could again be given if the government failed to meet party’s demand.
