PTI kicks off anti-corruption campaign rally across Sindh

KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has kicked off anti-corruption campaign across Sindh, ARY News reported.

The five-day event titled ‘Corruption Mitao, Mulk Bachao’ (Eradicate Corruption, Save Country), is aimed at mobilizing people to rise against ‘massive corruption’ in the province.

The PTI caravan started from Karachi Super Highway and reached Gharo located approximately 68 kilometers from here. It will later proceed towards Thatta, Sajawal, Golarchi, Badin and the town of Shadi Pali.

On 27th April, the rally will reach at Mirpurkhas, Sanghar and Shahdadkot, Then from 28-29th April, the caravan will head to Shikarpur, Nawabshah and Khairpur.

Senior PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi will lead the rallies in different districts of Sindh. He said that people will have to come out against corruption and they have come to awaken them from their slumber to take a tough stance.

Earlier, while addressing the media outside the Karachi airport, Qureshi said that the civil society will have to play a massive role following the Panama leaks.

While answering a question, he said that he was unsure about the reaction of the Chief Justice over the letter written by the government to launch an investigative inquiry.

PTI MNA Arif Alvi said that they will not rest till the complete eradication of corruption from the country.  Various activists in Thatta also raised slogans against corruption.

On 30th April PTI Chairman Imran Khan will reach Sukkur and address the people of Sindh. He had announced this campaign during the 20th anniversary foundation in Islamabad on 24th April.
