‘Karachi polls rigging’: PTI to begin legal battle against MQM

ISLAMABAD: Contending that polls are massively rigged in Karachi by Mutahidda Qaumi Movement, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Jehangir Tareen on Monday vowed to take up the issue with the judicial commission, ARY News reported.

Talking to media at Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence, Tareen said that widespread rigging takes place during elections in Karachi. He added that his party will approach the judicial commission against MQM.

He said the commission to probe electoral rigging was formed as a result of PTI’s long struggle.

Tareen also hoped that most of the political parties will present their stance against irregularities in elections before the judicial commission headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Nasirul Mulk.

The PTI leader said that after the formation of the commission, his party has also formed a task force which will lay forth authentic evidences of rigging of polls during last general elections.
