Long March

PTI members to endorse resignations tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has finally decided that all its members will be confirming their resignations before the Speaker of the National Assembly tomorrow (Wednesday), however the party chief Imran Khan will not appear on this occasion, ARY News reported.

The defiant PTI fulfilled another wish of the government – those who were of the view that none of the PTI MNAs will appear before the Speaker for the verification of his/her resignation, their claims proved to be false today.

PTI members under the leadership of Shah Mehmood Qureshi will appear before the Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq tomorrow and will endorse their resignations from the National Assembly membership.

The PTI chairman, Imran Khan will not appear before the Speaker, while there is also no need of it as Khan has repeatedly announced his resignation before the media during public meetings and rallies held in different cities.

However, the fact as to whether these resignations will shake the power corridors or will help scaling down pressure on the government, can only be suggested by the time to come.
