PTI offers to mediate between govt, PIA employees
Talking to media after condoling the family of former foreign minister Sajizada Yaqoob Ali Khan, Qureshi said Khan was a highly principled man and had his talks been heeded then West Pakistan would not have separated from us.
Responding to a question, he lamented government’s inappropriate attitude over PIA issue and said that dividing the union will not resolve the matter.
“If the government seeks to resolve the issue it should constitute a judicial commission on it and close the chapter of privatization,” suggested Qureshi adding that the national airliner can be made a profitable entity and it should not be sold out on cheap rates.
“If the government wants PTI can mediate to end deadlock with PIA employees”, he offered.
When asked about Afghan peace process, the PTI lawmaker said that indication of talks between Taliban and Afghan government is a good omen and suggested the Afghan government to ponder seriously for further confidence building.
