Panama Papers: PTI, opposition parties submit adjournment motion in parliament

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf party submitted an adjournment motion over the recent Panama Papers’ controversy in parliament, ARY News reported.

According to details, PTI’s Secretary Information Shireen Mazari submitted the adjournment motion in parliament today. An adjournment motion was also submitted from Pakistan Peoples Party in the parliament. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI also submitted an adjournment motion with regard to the issue of Panama Papers’ disclosures.

Meanwhile, JI chief Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has also announced that he would submit an adjournment motion in the Upper House as well.

The Panama Papers’ controversy or Panama Leaks as it is being reported, has caused quite a stir around the world. The documents reveal off-shore companies and bank accounts owned by world leaders, politicians and famous celebrities from around the world. Following pressure from the masses, Iceland Prime Minister has resigned and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced a judicial commission to investigate matters pertaining to his and the Sharif family’s assets abroad.
