PTI registers case against Altaf, others

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday registered case against MQM chief Altaf Hussain and other party leaders on charges of attack on PTI workers, ARY News reported.

PTI leader Imran Ismail had made it to Jinnah Ground today, located in stronghold area of MQM, to review location where PTI is scheduled to hold rally on April 19. During his visit, PTI and MQM workers exchanged hot words and the brawl ensued. Some activists also attacked Ismail’s vehicle.

The case against MQM chief was registered on behalf of Aziz Afridi and Arsalan of PTI at Azizabad Police Station.

PTI leader Arif Alvi said his party felt that Altaf Hussain provoked his workers to attack PTI activists at Jinnah Ground.

Sindh government also suspended the SHO of Azizabad Police Station.
