PTI rejects results of LG elections in Punjab, Sindh

LAHORE: As senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stepped down conceding responsibility for party’s defeat in the local government elections, the PTI, on the other side, has rejected the results of elections in Punjab and Sindh.

PTI leader and political adviser to Imran Khan, Ejaz Chaudhary, said the election was a fraud.

He also demanded the Election Commission to declare LG elections void.

He alleged that government machinery was used against PTI to defeat it in the polls. He said the goons also barged into the house of a PTI candidate but the police were reluctant to register a FIR.

He claimed that the police harassed PTI chairmen and vice chairmen candidates and on occasion detained them at police stations for hours.
