PTI seeks permission for rally in Lahore on Sept 28

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday submitted an application to the district coordination officer Lahore, seeking permission for party’s public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan ground on September 28, ARY News reported.

The application was received by DCO’s Staff officer. Speaking to media after submitting an application, PTI MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal said his party would stage its public gathering at Jati Umra, if their permission for rally at Minar-e-Pakistan was not granted.

We will break the record of holding a rally bigger than the one held in Karachi, the PTI MPA claimed.

He hoped that DCO Lahore would permit them holding a rally in the city on Sept 28.

He was of the view the responsibility of security to rally and its participants would lie on the government. He castigated the government of threatening rally participants in Islamabad regarding foul play.
