PTI to show public strength in Mianwali today

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, in its countrywide campaign against the government, will demonstrate its public strength at a rally in Mianwali today, ARY News reported.

The PTI’s public meeting is scheduled at 2pm today. It is the third rally of the party in Mianwali. All activists and workers of the PTI kept on rallying across the city on Wednesday night in an attempt to mobilize masses to attend Thursday’s public gathering.

It may be noted here that Mianwali is also a home constituency of PTI chief Imran Khan. The constituency also houses graves of Imran’s father Ikramullah Khan, grandmother and grandfather.

Imran has been elected from this constituency in 2002 and 2013.

The PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek sit-ins against the government have entered the 49th day today in Islamabad. Both the parties are pressing for resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, however government has refused to meet their demand, citing its unconstitutional and illegal.
