PTV attack: Alleged telephonic conversation between Imran, Alvi leaked

ISLAMABAD: An alleged telephonic conversation which took place between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and leader Arif Alvi during the attack on Pakistan Television (PTV) Headquarters was leaked on social media on Friday, ARY News reports.

According to the telephonic conversation, Alvi informed Khan about the attack on PTV headquarters.

Imran Khan said that the attack is good as it will pressurize Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign as prime minister of the country.

The PTI Chairman instructed Alvi to contact other parties so it will put more pressure on the federal government.

Alvi also briefed Khan about his talks with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) adding that he waited for the party’s call, which did not come.

Meanwhile, Alvi has completely denied this telephonic conversation.

It should be noted that a mob stormed into the headquarters of the state run channel on September 1, 2014 and broke television sets and cut off the transmission wires during the incident.
