Punjab agriculture officers have to post attendance via smartphones
Agriculture department of Punjab has provided its field officers with smart phones to post their digital log attendance from start to end time.
The smart phones will have a digital dashboard which will be considered as attendance register of field officers. The new system of marking attendance will be operative from June 1, 2016.
The Agriculture department through a notification, the copy of which is available with ARY News, has conveyed all the field officers that they will be considered absent if they will not mark their attendance through their smart phones. Moreover, they will also be proceeded under Punjab Employees Efficiency Discipline and Accountability Act (PEEDA) 2006 being absent from duty for misconduct and inefficiency.
EDOs of districts will conduct inspections of the district records on regular basis to ensure that all android users are posting daily attendance from start to end time and would submit their report to the Director General Agriculture department.
