Punjab Assembly a bunch of MPAs ‘submissive to wives’, blasts Fazlur Rehman

QUETTA: In a scathing attack on the passage of the Women Protection Bill in Punjab Assembly JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman has called the assembly a bunch of ‘uxorious MPAs’ submissive to their wives.

Speaking at a party gathering in Quetta he said after passage of the bill now the family roles have changed and ” the wife has become a husband and husband a wife.”

JUI-F leaders was addressing a party gathering at a local hotel here to welcome a tribal elder Ajmal Bazai and others in the party fold.

He said that according to this bill, male members of a family cannot hold a wife or a daughter accountable for any wrongdoing as it will be violation of the law.

He stated that the passage of the women protection law suggests that the Muslim League-Nawaz and former president Musharraf were not fighting over the principles but competing for power.

Fazlur Rehman vowed to foil the agenda of the West against religious seminaries, adding that organised propaganda is being carried out against religious education centres.

JUI-F Secretary General Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi addressing the gathering claimed that his party will form the next government in Balochistan.
