Qadir Patel reaches Rangers headquarters for further questioning

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party Karachi leader Abdul Qadir Patel reached the Rangers headquarter on Friday again to give answers about his alleged links with Lyari gangs and facilitating medical treatment of gangster at Dr Asim Hussain’s hospitals.

Patel, a former PPP legislator from Karachi and local party president, was grilled yesterday about eight hours about his links with Uzair Jan Baloch and Dr. Asim Hussain.

Abdul Qadir Patel recently returned to Karachi from London where he stayed for more than a year.

The Rangers officials after Thursday’s long hours of questioning allowed the PPP leader to leave for home with directives that he would appear again whenever called for further investigation.

Abdul Qadir Patel was elected a member of the National Assembly in the 2008 general elections from a constituency in Karachi.
