Qadir Patel removed as PPP Karachi president

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Friday removed its Karachi chapter president, Abdul Qadir Patel for deviating from party policies, ARY News reported.

PPP information secretary, Waqar Mehdi told that CM Qaim Ali Shah removed Qadir Patel from the post due to his deviation from party policies.

Patel, a few days ago, had delivered a controversial speech voicing concerns over PPP’s policy and decisions regarding the Senate elections.

Senior PPP leaders had strongly reacted to Patel’s speech, while he was also served a show-cause notice, which he did not reply.

Our correspondent, Kashif Hussain quoted sources as saying that PPP leader, Saeed Ghani is likely to be placed in Patel’s slot.
